The Immune Recovery Centers of America's Washington, D.C., Clinic operates under the leadership of Dr. Snejana Sharkar, ND, NP, who serves as Clinical Director. Dr. Sharkar received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the University of Science, Art and Technology, Montserrat, British West Indies & London, United Kingdom.
She received her graduate education at Howard University in consortium with Georgetown University.  She is an ANCC Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and has more than 20 years of experience in Family Practice Medicine and Cardiology.  Prior to coming to the United States she attended the Medical Academy in Varna, Bulgaria.

Professional Associations: American Holistic Medical Association, American College of Cardiology, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society.
Certifications: Advance Cardiac Life Support and  Basic Life Support Provider.
